Long Island PASE

The Long Island Partnership for After School Education (PASE) is a peer network of providers of out-of-school time services to youth that:

  • Enhance program quality through staff development, shared resource materials/information, and networking opportunities
  • Increase the visibility and public support for out-of-school-time programs
  • Encourage and strengthen partnerships between schools and community-based organizations

Long Island PASE is an affiliate of the Partnership for After School Education (PASE) in New York City, which was founded in 1993 by a group of youth practitioners, funders, and resource providers, and incorporated in 1998.

The Long Island Partnership for After School Education (Long Island PASE) aims to improve the quality and reach of afterschool programs throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties, bringing crucial services to thousands of underserved and economically disadvantaged youth in the Long Island community.

Long Island PASE accomplishes this by providing:

  • Professional development workshops for afterschool providers
  • Conferences and training institutes offered in partnership with local and regional youth-serving networks
  • Biannual newsletter including timely and relevant information for the Long Island afterschool field
  • Networking opportunities for local and regional agencies and individuals
  • Advocacy for Long Island’s afterschool field and underserved youth
