Modalities of Consultations
After conducting a pre-assessment with the program, PASE will match the program with a consultation provider who can help best meet the needs of the program. Consultations may take many forms, including:
For Program Managers:
- Program Observation – Using observation as an assessment of program activities, consultation will provide detailed feedback and assistance in identifying areas of need and best practices. This format is also a valuable tool in helping directors identify professional development needs for individual staff members.
- Program Planning and Problem Solving – Meetings and planning sessions with program director and selected staff will address program activities and structure. This consultation will focus on exploring challenges, developing effective program plans, and/or sharing resources. This offers directors an opportunity to continuously enhance their program services and identify some of their best practices.
For Direct Service Staff:
- Modeling and/or co-leading activity – Modeling or co-leading is conducted with time for discussion and planning before and after the activity. This format provides program staff an opportunity to benefit from seeing practice done well and discuss how to implement quality activities.
- Site-Based Training – Workshops are conducted in specific content area identified by the organization. Site-based workshops help all levels of program staff come together as a team to learn new strategies and share program ideas and experiences.
